Remote Learning Strategies by Loretta Johnson MM, MBA, MT-BC Loretta Johnson is a Boston Native with a background in jazz voice, music technology and education, music therapy, and virtual education. With twelve years of audio engineering and teaching music in-person and online, Loretta earned her music therapy certification to better serve those who are differently-abled. She spent time researching and writing about racial trauma to bring an understanding of the Black Experience to the field of music therapy. She currently works at Cortica in San Diego, CA, providing music therapy to children with neuro diversities and supervising two locations of MT-BC’s, OT’s, SLP’s, and PT’s in an interdisciplinary approach to care. When: 11/19/22 at 11:00am to 2:00pm PST Where: BMTN Zoom Live! Course Description: This interactive course will guide you through leading compelling and inclusive virtual presentations. Participants will learn to optimize sound, design the space, engage the audience using chat boxes, and more. Additionally, topics will include adjusting lighting to best display various complexions, using captions and providing translated materials to improve access, and presenting sensitive material from a trauma-informed lens.
