The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People administered a Travel Advisory for the state of Missouri, effective August 2, 2017 through August 28th, 2017. The advisory calls for African American travelers, visitors, and Missourians to take safety precautions when traveling throughout the state given the series of race-based incidents occurring statewide.
