BMTN BENEFIT CONCERT @ THE WORLD CAFE LIVE

On January 24, 2020, a benefit concert took place at World Cafe Live to support the BMTN Scholarship Fund. Nothing like some good music and dope poetry from Adenike Webb on the experiences of Black music therapists, and rallying around an important cause--scholarships for Black MT students. Shout out to Audrey Hausig for hosting and all who supported!!
2019 BMTN & ALLIES GATHERING

The BMTN & Allies Gathering took place on November 23rd at the 2019 AMTA Conference in Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. This gathering was dedicated to marginalized music therapy communities and centered the discussion of their experiences and concerns.

Thanks Audrey Hausig and Old Haverford Friends for hosting the first BMTN benefit concert to support the BMTN scholarship fund. The next Black music therapy networking session took place during the American Music Therapy Association's national conference on November 22nd. This was an opportunity for Black music therapy professionals and students to connect and discuss professional development.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) administered a Travel Advisory for the state of Missouri, effective August 2, 2017, through August 28th, 2017. The advisory called for African American travelers, visitors, and Missourians to take safety precautions when traveling throughout the state.
